OUTREACH TEAM

Over the past month our community engagement team of undergrads have been busy working on creating drama-based cross-curricular experiences based on Anansi The Story King for elementary school students in grades 1-4. Each lesson is common core aligned and encourages embodied storytelling through the use of drama activities and games. During these in-school workshops, students not only learn about Anansi and the characters he encounters, but also about how they can learn to tell their own stories. UCSD Department of Theatre & Dance Community Engagement is committed to the next generation of theatre makers and audience members!
